永勝藥品在1996年以前與國內藥廠相同，以開發藥學名藥，一般劑型為經營方向。
『1996』在此重要的一年，本公司有鑑於全民健保實施後，藥品市場機制將改變，若無藥品之特色，將成沙戢之一栗。本公司董事長 廖大平先生審慎評估之後，朝著新劑型Pellest(圓粒藥物)以及長效劑型方向研發，歷經八年多來，投下鉅資，研發人力，以及先進設備，目前已有相當程度之成果。技術平台成熟度市場評估為台灣第一把交椅。
