**設立緣起: 本會成立於民國82年，係由一群從事福利與教育的志同人士，鑑於兒童之健全成長關係其個人成就、家庭幸福、社會祥和與國家之發展甚鉅，而兒童成長與母親之角色關連甚深，婦女占人口之半數，於家庭社會國家之安定，發展貢獻顯著，然其本身權益仍有待保障與提昇，乃商議集結各自之專業與工作經驗，共同推動婦幼發展事項，經向內政部申請設立，奉內政部82.2.12 台(82)內社字第8203329
