Taichung, located in the middle west of Taiwan, is a peaceful and scenic city packed with coffee enthusiasm. Typical café is very often operated by owner/barista in a small scale. They devote their energy, sweat and money in bid to serve their customer quality coffee.

Stanley Zhang is one of them, if not the best, then the least and most versatile. He has been in the business for ten years. Talking about his professional growth, Stanley gives his former boss and mentor the credit for giving him opportunity to conduct one-to-one hands-on training to prospective baristas, prospective roasters and amateur home brewers in a period lasting a few years. It was Silence Huang of Ugly Duckling Coffee House and Barista Training Centre in Taipei who cradled him throughout his learning path and gave him the excellent training environment.
