亞洲大學由蔡長海教授與林增連先生共同創辦，於2005年8月1日由「臺中健康暨管理學院」升格改名。本校校園建築典雅，綠草如茵，四季花開，舒懷暢意，有具羅馬競技場外表的體育館、宮殿外貌的行政大樓暨圖書館，以及安藤忠雄大師為本校興建的藝術館，已然成為中部新地標。展望未來，本校將在校訓「健康、關懷、創新、卓越」之導引下，全力朝國際化一流大學之建校目標邁進，持續為國家社會培育出一流的人才。
