淵明餅舖經營超過一甲子的時間，淵明餅舖的水蒸蛋糕以及產品秤斤論兩賣為的是公平交易，因此產生了淵明餅舖水蒸蛋糕秤重計價的特殊方式。在2001年將傳統的蛋糕麵包店形態轉型為水蒸蛋糕專賣店，新竹淵明餅舖至此將水蒸蛋糕的名氣更加發揚光大，亦延續了楊老先生的創店精神。淵明餅舖所用心要求的每一細節，為的就是要讓無論是在地客或是觀光客都能夠感受到淵明餅舖這間傳承三代的水蒸蛋糕的堅持及用心。
